Balsamic Vinegar
1/3 c Balsamic Vinegar
2 Tbls water
2 Tbls dried thyme
¼ tsp Salt and pepper
1Tbls Basil
¼ tsp garlic powder
Add all ingredients and mix well
Marinara Sauce (2 servings)
2 Tomatoes (chopped)
1 Clove garlic
1 Tbls Chicken broth or water
1/4 tsp each Basil, parsley, fennel seed, and onion powder
Sea salt and pepper
Stevia to taste
Add chicken broth to small saucepan. Add garlic and simmer for 3 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes, basil, parsley, fennel seed, onion powder, salt and pepper, to saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add Stevia to taste.
Taco Salad
3.5 oz 97% fat free ground beef
1-2 Tbls Water
Cumin
Chili pepper
Red pepper
Oregano
Garlic
Sea salt and pepper
Brown ground beef. Add water, cumin, chili pepper, red pepper, oregano, garlic, sea salt and pepper to ground beef to taste. Simmer about 2 minutes. Serve on a bed of lettuce.
Tomato Basil Chicken
3.5 oz Cubed chicken
1 c Chopped tomato
¼ c Chicken broth or water
2 Tbls Lemon Juice
2 Tbls Chopped onion
1-2 Cloves garlic sliced
3 leaves of fresh basil rolled and sliced
1/8 tsp Oregano
¼ tsp Garlic and onion powder
Cayenne to taste
Lightly brown the chicken in a small pan with lemon jucie. Add garlic , onion, spices and broth. After chicken is cooked, add fresh tomatos and basil. Continue cooking for 5-10 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
Tilapia or any White fish
3.5 oz Tilapia
Italian Herb seasoning to taste
1 tsp Rosemary ground
1 tsp Sea salt
2 Slices of fresh lemon
2 c Broccoli
1 tsp Garlic salt
Sprinkle both sides of fish with spices. Place fish in a non stick fry pan with 1/3 c of water and lemon juice. Place lid on pan to keep the steam within the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Fish is done when flakes easily with fork. Steam broccoli and serve with fish.
Balsamic Mustard Crusted Steak
3.5 Filet or London broil
1 tsp Dry mustard
2 tsp Balsamic vinegar
¼ tsp Sea salt
½ tsp Pepper
2 Minced garlic cloves
Mix all seasonings in bowl. Line broiler pan with foil, place steak on the broiler pan. Coat evenly with mustard mixture and let stand for 10 minutes. Broil or grill steak 3-4 minutes per side
